After obtaining planning approval for a Class Q barn conversion I worked with my client to develop a highly efficient forever home drawing upon the principles of Passivhaus design.
With high levels of insulation, triple glazing, careful detailing and a heat recovery ventilation system we were able to deliver an amazing home.
The project was also featured in Self Build & Design magazine in April 2021
After gaining planning approval for the replacement of an existing bungalow and replacement with a two storey home with 5 bedrooms with their architects. The client looked to proceed with the Building Regulations and construction of the project and appointed my technical services. Following appointment I worked with the client to provide a highly insulated home using 150mm of insulation, triple glazing, PV panels and Air Source Heat Pump to provide a highly energy efficient home.
Construction is due to start in July 2021
Successful Planning Approval was achieved for two side extensions and new front porch. One extension houses a large Utility/Boot room and the other for a garden room which connects the living room and kitchen providing a fantastic open plan space which links to the garden via full height sliding doors and a roof lantern.
Construction is due to start later in 2021
Following the purchase of this site with planning approval I have been appointed to undertake the detail design to take the planning drawings through to Building Regulations application and construction.
With the site utilising every centimetre of space and making use of under croft parking and cantilevered elements the design was work through in collaboration with the structural engineer and a light weight timber frame has been utilised to help reduce the size of steels needed.
The project was converted from PDF to Revit to produce the technical package.
Construction is due to being in Spring 2021
